Finding the Right Medicare Plan for You

Navigating Medicare can be complex, but we're here to help. We simplify your options, offering a clear path to the coverage you need. Let us guide you through the choices to find a plan that fits your life and budget.

Timing is Key, let us help you.

Medicare Advantage (Part C)

These all-in-one plans cover Medicare part A and B and most include part D drug coverage into a single plan. Many provide extra benefits not included in Original Medicare, like vision, dental, and gym memberships.

  • Extra Help: You may be eligible for a Low-Income Subsidy (LIS) also referred to as Extra Help to assist with prescription costs. As a curtesy, we can help you through the simple phone application process.
  • Special Enrollment Periods (SEP): If you qualify for LIS, you may be able to change your plan outside the typical enrollment period. There are other reasons for SEP eligibility, so call us to find out if you qualify.

Special Needs Plans (SNPs)

These plans are for individuals with both Medicare and Medicaid. They often provide more benefits than Original Medicare.

  • Added Benefits: SNPs can include dental, vision, transportation, and an allowance for over-the-counter health items.
  • Personalized Options: The availability of these plans can vary by location. Contact us so we can help you determine the specific plans and benefits available in your area.
  • Chronic Illness Plans (C-SNPS): Plans designed for individuals with chronic illnesses such as diabetes, heart and lung. See what is available in your area.

Medicare Supplement Plans

These plans, also known as Medigap, are designed to work alongside Original Medicare. They help cover some out-of-pocket costs and give you the freedom to visit any doctor or hospital that accepts Medicare, without the need for referrals or network restrictions.

  • Plan G: For those who became eligible for Medicare after January 1, 2020, this is a popular option. It covers most costs not paid by Original Medicare, with the exception of the Part B deductible.
  • Plan F: If you were eligible for Medicare before 2020, you may be able to enroll in this plan, which covers all out-of-pocket Medicare costs, including deductibles and co-pays.

Prescription Drug Coverage

A Medicare Part D plan helps with the cost of your medications. This stand-alone coverage is used with Original Medicare and Medicare Supplement plans. It provides you with a way to manage your prescription expenses.

Dual-Eligible
Plans (D-SNPs)

These plans are for those who qualify for both Medicare and Medicaid. They simplify your coverage by combining Medicare and Medicaid benefits into one plan, which often includes extra perks. These often include low or no copay plans.

  • Understanding Dual-Eligibility: Dual-eligible status means you have both Medicare and Medicaid.
  • Integrated Benefits: Dual-eligible plans coordinate your care and often provide additional benefits like dental, vision, hearing, and transportation, which are not covered by Original Medicare.

Affordable Care Act (ACA) Plans

For those individuals and families who don't have Medicare, ACA plans provide comprehensive health insurance. Many individuals and families qualify for government subsidies to help lower their monthly premiums. I assist in finding the ideal plan for you, your family, or your employees where you live and work.

  • Essential Health Benefits: All plans are required to cover 10 core health service categories. These include fundamental services like doctor visits, inpatient and outpatient hospital care, mental health services, prescription drugs, and more.
  • Beyond the Basics: While ACA plans must cover these essential benefits, additional plans are available that can offer even more services and expanded coverage.

Life Insurance Plans

Life insurance is a vital tool for securing your loved ones' future. We offer different types of policies to fit your specific needs and long-term goals.

  • Term Life Insurance: This provides a death benefit for a specific time period. You can renew the policy when the term ends or convert it to a permanent plan.
  • Whole Life Insurance: A permanent policy that covers you for your entire life. It includes a savings component where a cash value can build up over time.

Dental & Vision Insurance

Good health is a total package, and that includes your dental and vision care. We offer plans that can help cover these important services.

  • Oral Health Matters: Your oral hygiene is a gateway to your overall health. For seniors, a healthy mouth is critical for combating health issues. Poor dental hygiene can lead to serious conditions like heart disease and diabetes.
  • The Mouth-Body Connection: It is vital to manage oral health problems, as they can cause complications elsewhere in the body. We can help you find a dental plan that keeps your mouth healthy and protected.

Annuities: A Secure Income Stream

An annuity is a financial product that provides a steady, fixed stream of income, making them a popular choice for retirees. You fund an annuity with either a lump sum or periodic payments. Once the payments begin, the contract moves into the payout phase, providing you with a reliable income.

  • Flexible Options: Annuities come in different forms, including fixed, variable, and deferred, giving you the flexibility to choose an option that aligns with your financial goals.
  • Accumulation Phase: During the funding period, your investment grows over time, preparing you for the annuitization phase when the income stream begins.

Accidental Death and Final Expense Plans

Planning for the unexpected is a kind gift to your family. Our final expense policies are designed to cover immediate costs after you're gone, removing the financial burden from your loved ones. These plans can be used for funeral expenses and other obligations.

  • Immediate Payouts: These policies pay out quickly to your spouse or family, providing immediate funds while waiting for larger life insurance settlements.
  • Relieving Stress: A final expense death benefit can cover funeral costs, medical bills, and other expenses. Low-cost options are available, ensuring your family is not left with a financial burden.
  • Pre-Need vs. Final Expense: While similar, pre-need plans are typically paid directly to a funeral home for specific services, whereas final expense policies provide a benefit to your beneficiaries to use at their discretion.

Critical Illness Insurance

A critical illness can change your life in an instant. This type of insurance provides a lump-sum cash payment if you are diagnosed with a serious disease from a predetermined list. The payout can be used for any purpose, giving you flexibility to manage your finances while you focus on recovery.

  • Covered Conditions: Policies typically cover specific illnesses like cancer, heart attack, and stroke.
  • Cash Payment: Unlike traditional health insurance, this policy pays you directly, allowing you to cover medical bills, living expenses, or other needs.

Disability Insurance

Disability insurance protects your income when a non-work-related injury or illness prevents you from working. We offer both short-term and long-term options to ensure you are covered, whether the disability is temporary or long-lasting.

  • Short-Term Disability (STD): This replaces a portion of your income for a brief period, typically a few weeks to a few months. Benefits begin after a short waiting period.
  • Long-Term Disability (LTD): This acts as a safety net for more serious or chronic conditions. It can provide income for years, or even until retirement, and benefits begin after a longer waiting period.
